Banded coral shrimp (stenopus hispidus)

Banded Coral Shrimp, notice the Golden Goby in the background.

Black phase  longnose butterfly (forgicipiger longirostris)

Black Longnose Butterfly fish are only found in Hawaii.

Blue dragon nudibranch

Blue Dragon Nudibranchs.  One of many cool little critters here.

Yellow-spotted guard crab (trapezia flavopunctata)

A female Guard Crab.  Notice the eggs she is carrying.

Dwarf moray (gymnothorax melatremus)

Dwarf Morays aren't much bigger than a pencil fully grown.

Flying gurnard (dactyloptena orientalis)

Flying Gurnards  look like they have wings.  They crawl.

Gold lace nudibranch (halgerda terramtuentis)

Here's another Gold Lace Nudibranch.

Green lionfish (dendrochirus barberi)

This is a Green Lion fish.

Heller's barracuda (sphyraena helleri)

Heller's Barracuda swim in schools.  They're harmless.

Hawaiian lionfish (pterios sphex)

Another Hawaiian Lion fish.

Orangemouth lizzardfish (saurida flamma)

Lizzard fish.

Reticulated butterfly (chaetodon ruticulatus)

A pair of Reticulated Butterfly fish swim along the reef.

Reticulated cowry (cypraea maculifera)

Reticulated Cowries are often found in mated pairs.

unidentified Fryeria species nudibranch

Looks like a fried egg (vericose) nudibranch but is a newly described fryeria species.

White-spotted nudibranch (chronodoris albopunctata)

We found this White-Spotted nudibranch on a rocky bottom.

Wire-coral goby (bryaninops yongei)

Wire-Coral Gobies can spend their entire lives on a single wire coral.
